Science Model Competition

It is our pleasure to report that the students of Dept. of Physics, Sri.Sarnob Samanta and Smt. Dipannita Das got 3rd prize on winning the best model in the district level exhibition competition held at Barasat organized by WBST&BT and hence qualified to the state level competition in Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata scheduled to be held on 17^th-19^th November, 2019. The brilliant thought behind the model was named as “Betterment for Environment” mentored by Sri Shirsendu Sarkar, Faculty of Dept of Physics and funded by BGC. The enthusiasm within the college and school students to see the model demonstration was noteworthy. Our students interacted with them and encouraged them to make some of the technology based models such as Li-Fi, Rain alarm etc. Though quest for knowledge never ends but there has to be the zeal to know more, this is what our team tried to invoke in them. Finally this impressive model demonstration had been awarded by the Bronze Medal from the Government of West Bengal.
