Activities of the college during COVID-19 crisis
(a) The Vice Principal, Dr. S.K.Das, has transferred Rs. 3lacs to the West Bengal Chief Minister’s State Emergency Relief Fund for COVID-19.
(b) A large flex displaying the symptoms of COVID-19 and the measures of prevention complying with WHO guidelines was displayed at the main gate of the college to spread awareness among the local community.
(c) COVID-19 screening app was made by the Computer Science department of the college and circulated through google forms.
Masks were distributed among the villagers of the 5 villages and awareness was spread among them regarding the symptoms of the disease. An extensive list of dos and don’ts was explained to them by the local Gram Panchayat Mukhia.
Our college took the initiative of distributing 600 kgs of rice and some other foodstuff among the very poor tribal people in 2 villages, Kulam, a village adopted under UBA 2.0 and Juvi, the adopted village of the college, to support nearly 200 distressed tribal people, in this month of lockdown.
