Research Interest:

  • 1. Study of different types of plants species used by the traditional healers in nearby forest area as well as understanding of factors that threaten local traditional medicinal plant resources and knowledge.
  • 2. Extraction, isolation, identification, structural modification (synthesis), bioactivity and mode of action of pharmaceutically important natural products.
  • 3. Toxicological evaluation and quality control of herbal medicine.
  • 4. Investigation of ethnomedicinal information from persons having a thorough knowledge of medicinal plants, and their utilization in day-to-day life.
